The '''Spangled dress''' is a recurring piece of clothing in the {{DQSeries}} that first appeared in ''[[Dragon Quest VII]]''. It is a fashionable dress designed for women that provides a high amount of protection.

==Characteristics==
The dress is a sleeveless ankle-length evening gown made out of a shimmery dark indigo material that gives it its name. It has high leg slits on both sides and is decorated with a fur collar at the top. Although it possesses no special features, it often has a high defence and style bonus for wearers.

It was a limited-time item that could be obtained by redeeming a special gift code from the ''Dragon Quest Portal'' app that was exclusive for Japanese players and was only available from September 1st, 2015 to September 30th, 2015.

The dress can be equipped by [[Minstrel]]s, [[Ranger]]s, [[Luminary (vocation)|Luminaries]], [[Dancer]]s, and [[Gadabout]]s.

Like many pieces of equipment in ''X'', the spangled dress is divided into a torso piece and a leg piece. The entire set also includes a headpiece and shoes, as well.
