The &#039;&#039;&#039;Gadabout&#039;&#039;&#039; (遊び人, &#039;&#039;Asobinin&#039;&#039;), also known as the &#039;&#039;&#039;Jester&#039;&#039;&#039;, is a recurring vocation in the &#039;&#039;[[Dragon Quest (series)|Dragon Quest]]&#039;&#039; series. Quite literally a &#039;&#039;joke&#039;&#039; character, the Gadabout is poor in nearly every attribute, save for their incredible luck. Design wise, gadabouts were originally split between dressing as clowns for men and bunny girls for women, but with the reintroduction of the profession in &#039;&#039;X&#039;&#039; and the 3DS remake of &#039;&#039;VII&#039;&#039; this practice has since been retired in lieu of both sexes dressing as clowns. &lt;br /&gt;

Gadabouts, originally localized as goof-offs, are pretty much useless on the battlefield, but do have a great amount of luck. This allows them to avoid the affects of debilitating spells more often than other characters. The trade-off for this is the fact that these clowns have minds of their own, and the player cannot always control their actions. The gadabout is the only class that can turn into a [[Sage]] at [[Alltrades Abbey (Dragon Quest III)|Alltrades Abbey]] without the [[Words of Wisdom]], merely needing to reach level 20 to do so. Rather than take a gadabout from the beginning of the journey with this career advancement in mind, some players opt to instead turn an existing character in to a fop and level them up in the safety of their much stronger peers.&lt;br /&gt;

The &#039;&#039;&#039;Thief&#039;&#039;&#039; (盗賊, &#039;&#039;Touzoku&#039;&#039;) is a class in the &#039;&#039;[[Dragon Quest (series)|Dragon Quest]]&#039;&#039; series. It was not available in the original [[Nintendo Entertainment System|Famicom]] version of &#039;&#039;[[Dragon Quest III]]&#039;&#039;, being added later to the [[Super Nintendo Entertainment System|Super Famicom]] version of the game as a bonus class and appearing in all subsequent remakes of the game.&lt;br /&gt;

==Characteristics==&lt;br /&gt;
Thieves have high agility and balanced physical stats with decent attack and defensive power making them nimble melee combatants. While not as strong as a Warrior or Martial Artist, they are able to hold their own in physical combat and specialize in using both [[whip]]s and [[boomerang]]s to attack several enemies in battle. Their armor selection is mostly limited to lightweight vests and clothing, but they do have access to some pieces of equipment which boost their evasiveness.&lt;br /&gt;

The Thief&#039;s best skill is Nose for Treasure which allows treasure hunters to know how much treasure is left on a particular floor. As for hybrid skills, Thief Hit, the hybrid skill of a [[Warrior]] and a Thief, is probably one of the useful hybrid skills to learn as it has the chance of taking one item from a monster regardless of whether or not it is defeated. However, the default stealing rate is quite low. To this end, the character must have a high rank in the vocation to steal reliably.&lt;br /&gt;

Although the Dancer takes 120 battles to master and it has some good skills, when [[Aishe]] joins the party, she has already mastered the dancer class. Aishe should be given the time to learn the Sword Dance skill as it is one of the best battle skills in &#039;&#039;Dragon Quest VII&#039;&#039;. It is also the most cost effective skill in terms of overall power.&lt;br /&gt;
