Elusid is a boss that appears in grottoes in Dragon Quest IX. He is a member if the Dragon family, and frequently raises his tension and casts spells. His arsenal of spells includes Kafrizz, Kacrack, and Kaboom. Due to his heavy spell usage, using the Magic Mirror shield skill or casting Bounce can protect you party while dealing extra damage to Elusid. [[Captain Max Meddlin]] collects mini medals in [[Dragon Quest IX]]. He can be found in the north east corner of [[Dourbridge]].Prizes are awarded after giving the captain a certain number of mini medals. After the captain is presented with the 80th mini medal, he gives the player a Dragon Robe and the Capn's Curtsy party trick. Afterwards, the player can trade in any number of mini medals for whichever prize they choose. The prizes are listed below

The '''Masayuki map''' is a specific treasure map in [[Dragon Quest IX]]. It is named for the Japanese player who randomly received it in Dragon Quest IX. The map became a national sensation in Japan, being traded thousands of times all over the country via [[Tag Mode]]. The name of the map is Ruby Path of Doom Lv. 87. The boss is Tyranosaurus Wrecks.

The map is famous for its high number of metal enemies on the final floor of its grotto, yielding opportunities to earn massive amounts of experience very easily. While every enemy that appears on the fifteenth floor is a metal king slime, other monsters may appear on the start of the battle.
