He sports a yellow buttoned down vest, a red neckerchief tied in a knot, a red cloth tucked under a cummerbund around his waist, and blue trousers with a hole torn in one knee. ==Characteristics==
A gem slime is, as suggested by its name, shaped like a gem, a trait most apparent when viewed from the side since its back tapers to a point away from its front. It also has a tiara-like crown that bends back and appears to be attached to the point of its gem-shaped body. As indicated by its original name, it is gold in color.

Gem slimes, depending on the game they appear in, act either as metal monsters or gold monsters, paying out high experience as the former and high gold as the latter. They have the typical statistics of a metal monster when acting as one, though they still retain some degree of resistance when acting as a source of gold, though not nearly as much as metal monsters.

Darkonium slimes are impervious to all spells, and dodge attacks often. They are very vulnerable to [[Falcon Slash]] and basic attacks from the [[Falcon Blade]] and [[Über Falcon Blade]] because they hardly ever dodge these strikes. They can attack normally, hit all party members by squishing them or hitting them with a laser beam, and can cast Multiheal.

It should be noted that Darkonium slimes are ''not'' treated as gem/metal slimes when resolving physical attacks, so using [[Metal Slash]] is unnecessary, despite their resemblance to [[Gem Slime]]s and [[Platinum King Jewel]]s.
