The '''gigant armour''' is a recurring suit of armour in the ''[[Dragon Quest (series)|Dragon Quest]]'' series. It is a powerful set of armor reserved for only the strongest characters and it protects the wearer against fire and ice attacks.

==Characteristics==
The gigant armour is generally portrayed as a golden or copper-coloured suit of heavy armour composed of multiple plates, and in the 1995 official guidebook for ''VI'' it was shown to provide shin guards as well. Each of the shoulders contains a prominent spike. It is said to have been forged by giants.

The gigant armour has a defence bonus of +92, a style bonus of +15, and reduces fire and ice breath damage by 15 points. It can be purchased at [[Despairia]] and [[Greedmore Valley]] for 23,000 gold. The armour can be equipped by [[Carver]], [[Amos]], [[Terry]], [[Lizzie]], and [[Goowain]].

It can be reworked at the [[Fashion Forge]] for 20,000 gold, boosting its style bonus to +77.

It can only be equipped by the [[Hero (Dragon Quest VII)|Hero]] and [[Aishe]]. It can be purchased on the Sea Dragon for 35,000 gold and sold for 17,500 gold. Gigant armour can also be won as a prize from the Lucky Panel at [[Buccanham]] [[Casino]].

The Bandit axe has an {{Attack}} bonus of +55 and can only be equipped by [[Yangus]]. It can be received once from [[Dodgy Dave]] in [[Pickham]] for turning in a [[Ring of immunity]].

The axe can be made in the [[Alchemy Pot]] and can also be used to create [[Bandit mail]]. It can be sold for 6,500 {{Gold}} for the first five. Due to the ease of production for this weapon, the game is programmed in such a way as to diminish the sales value of the weapon so that the sixth through ninth units sold yield 4,550, the tenth onward a mere 1,950 {{Gold}}.
