Kacrackle is a recurring ice spell in the DQSeries, typically the most powerful.

Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it originally hit a single group of enemies with fierce ice damage, but starting with V, it lacerates all enemies with enormous crystals.

Localization history
In the Japanese games, Mahyado was replaced as the strongest ice spell in the Joker series of games by Mahyadedosu and eventually introduced in the main series of games starting with Dragon Quest IX. In the English versions of the games, Kacrackle was kept as the name of the strongest ice spell, while Mahyado would be translated as Kacrack in order to maintain its position as the second strongest ice spell in the game.

Appearances
DQ3
Kacrackle is learned by Mages and Sages at level 26 in the original version due to a programming bug, and at level 32 in all subsequent remakes. Deals between 88~112 points of damage and costs 12 MP to cast, paralleling Kasizzle. In the NES version of Dragon Warrior III, it is called Snowstorm, while in the Game Boy version it is called Blizzard.

The enemies Leger-de-Man, franticore, manticore, WhiteLion, and Zoma can use this spell to deal 55~67 damage to the Party 3.

DQ3HD
Kacrackle is learned by Mages and Sages at level 34 if their wisdom exceeds 158 points. Kacrackle costs 14 MP and deals up to 119~161 damage to all enemies. As with all multi-targeting attack spells Kacrackle's power is increased if it is used against a smaller number of foes, being 130% damage against a single monster, 120% against two monsters, and 110% damage when used on three monsters.

When cast by monsters Kacrackle will deal 88~116 damage to the party.

DQ4
Kacrackle damages a group of foes for 88~112 damage, and costs 11 MP to cast. It is learned by Borya at level 32. The Psaro 9 starts out with this spell upon joining. In the NES version of Dragon Warrior IV, it is called Blizzard; instead, the name Snowstorm was given to Crackle.

The enemies freeze fly, abullddon, and Aamon can use this spell against the Party 4 fro 55~67 damage.

DQ5
Due to the removal of Kacrack from the spell list, Kacrackle's range has been increased to target all foes on screen. In exchange, the damage range has been reduced slightly to 80~104. It is learned by the following playable characters and costs 12 MP to cast.
{| cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" border="1"

Pazuzu, bilhaw, drakenstein, and Queen Ferz use it as enemies for 55~67 damage.

DQ6
This spell is learned by advancing to rank 6 of the Sage vocation and exhibits the same traits as in the previous installment.

It is used by the enemies disgustling, Gracos, demon-at-arms, and demon stewards for 60~70 damage.

DQ7
Kacrackle will be learned by Sages at rank 3 and Druids at rank 2.

It can be cast by the enemies fright knight, general motor, beastly priests, and the Water Spirit.

DQ8
Kacrackle is learned by Jessica after an event, and is affected by her tension. Its base damage ranges from 65~85 before her Wisdom hits 200, with a cap of 138~157 after her Wisdom gets to 480. It costs 12 magic points to cast.
*In the port, the spell's base damage was increased to 72~92 and the maximum became 169~189; it takes 570 Wisdom to reach this cap.

It is also used by the the second form of Dhoulmagus, Evil Jessica, freeze fly, servant of darkness, Statue of Jessica, Trap Box in Memoriam, Dark Servant in Memoriam, Evil Jessica in Memoriam, and Dhoulmagus in Memoriam to deal 48~56 damage to the party.

The Infamous Monster Madge can cast it.

DQ9
Learned by Mages at level 68. Impales all enemies with giant shards of ice for 50 MP. Base damage is 165~204 prior to the caster's Magical Might reaching 550, and the cap is 490~530 at 999.

When used by legacy bosses Kacrackle's power is calculated as (150+(Lvl^2/26))*(0.9~1.1), setting the base and max ranges as 190~210 and 474~579

DQ10
Kacrackle can only be learned by Mages investing 130 skill points into the Spellcraft skill tree and by Death Masters investing 180 points into their Reikan skill tree. It costs 24 MP to cast, and damage is calculated as (Magical Might - 400) x 0.71 + 362~402 for a base damage of 310~350 and maximum range of 790~830. With considerable use of spell and skill buffs, the caster's Magical Might can be raised to 1,500 and the calculation changes to the following: (Magical Might - 999) /3 + 790~830 for a true maximum of of 957~997.

When the player chooses to cast Kacrackle, they select a single MFamilies to target. This enemy can be within a range of 15 meters, and any other enemies within a proximity of 7 meters from the target will also be damaged by the spell--greater distance within the 7 meter range does not decrease damage inflicted.

DQ11
Rab will learn kacrackle after mastering the Enlightenment section of his character builder. The spell is very expensive at 60 MP, but will deal 328~392 at its weakest and 688~752 once Rab's Magical Might reaches 900.

DQMJ
Kacrackle deals 190~210 base damage until the MFamilies's Wisdom hits 500, and will do 299~319 with max Wisdom. It costs 36 MP to cast, and is learned from various skill trees.
Kacrackle costs 58 MP and deals 209~231 damage. It will deal 665~735 damage at 3,999 Wisdom.

DQMJ3
Kacrackle has the same details as in in the previous two titles.

It has a base power of 290 and will deal an average of 770 damage at 3,999 Wisdom.

DQTact
Kacrackle can be learned by Zoma, The Lord of Darkness at level 82 and costs 160 MP to use. It inflicts huge Crack-type spell damage to all enemies in a large rhombus area directly in front of him. Kazammle is a spell in the series. It inflicts a massive amount of Dark-elemental damage to a single enemy and is the strongest of the Zam series of spells.

Appearances
DQ9
Kazammle is learned by Sages at level 61, costing 45 MP to cast. It deals 255~315 Dark-elemental damage to a single enemy. It increases in power once the caster's Magical Might reaches 480, reaching to a maximum of 585~645 at 999 Magical Might.
* On the enemy side, it can be cast by Tyrannosaurus Wrecks, Psaro the Manslayer starting at level 41, and Dhoulmagus starting at level 57. Tyrannosaurus Wreck's version inflicts between 379~460 damage. When cast by legacy bosses, the spell's damage is calculated as (7*lvl*(0.9~1.1)). This means the base range is 234~286 and the maximum range is 628~762.

DQ10
Kazammle can be cast by a Sage that has invested 130 points into their Enlightenment skill. It costs 18 MP to cast with a range of 15 meters, and damage is calculated as (Magical might - 483) x 492/516 + 330~390 for a limit of 822~882 at 999. Once the value hits 1,000 and higher the calculation is changed to (Magical might - 999) /3 + 822~882 for a new maximum damage range of 989~1,049 at 1,500 Magical Might.

DQ11
Rab can learn Kazammle through the Enlightenment panel on his Character Builder when his power fully awakens in Act Two, costing 36 skill points. It is a hidden panel, requiring at least four of the skills surrounding it to be learned first in order to unlock it. It costs 42 MP to cast, with a base range of 303~316 and a maximum range of 525~585 once his Magical Might reaches 900. Kazammle is significantly weaker than the other fourth-tier spells, but this low damage threshold is compensated for by its cheaper MP cost and being twice as likely to go haywire when cast.

DQMJ
Kazammle costs a steep 30 MP to cast, inflicts 425~495 at 999 Wisdom, and can be learned from:

* Bang & Zam III (62 points)

DQMJ2
Kazammle can be learned from all the skills it could be previously, though the point requirement for Rhapthorne II has changed. It can now be learned from:

* Rhapthorne II (64 points)
* Sizz & Zam III (90 points)
* Vile Void (75 points)
Kazammle costs 30 MP and deals 242~267 damage. Upon reaching a wisdom stat of 3,999, the umbral orbs will deal 864~955 damage.

DQMJ3
Kazammle's cost and range are the same as it did in the previous two titles.
Final Flame is a skill belonging to the dark being Calasmos and the End of Time, wherein the extraterrestrials incinerate their foes with the blistering heat of a supernova.
Appearances
DQ11
It takes three turns for Calasmos to perform the attack, dealing between 450~500 Fire damage to the entire party. If the player can cripple one or both of Calasmos' arms during the first two turns then he will lose control of the sun and damage himself for the same range--players can time it so that this deals the final blow and finishes the boss fight dramatically. If Calasmos is cloaked in his shroud of darkness then Final Flame will deal 700~900 Fire damage to the party.

The End of Time's version has the same attributes as Calasmos'.

DQTact
Final Flame can be learned by Calasmos at level 82 and costs 150 MP to use. It inflicts huge Frizz-type martial damage to all enemies in a 5x5 square surrounding him, although it can only be used once per battle. Upgrading the skill increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to use.
