To Sterling's surprise, the Hero can pass through the fields just fine thanks to the Gittish Seal in their possession. The next day, the prisoners awake to find a jailmate about to be hanged. Sterling stops the executioner and inspires the other inmates to revolt. Sterling then tags alongside the Hero to defeat Goreham-Hogg and free the Celestrians that were captive in the lower level of the Gortress. Sterling re-obtains his whistle and summons the [[Starlight Express]]. Sterling is then revealed to be the captain of the train and the person [[Stella]] was looking for.
