Ironclad (てつじん, tetsujin?, lit. translated as ironman in the Game Boy Color version of Dragon Quest III) is a personality in the Dragon Quest III remakes, in Dragon Quest X, and in Dragon Quest: Monster Parade.

Dragon Quest III remakes[edit | edit source]

In the Dragon Quest III remakes, ironclad is a personality that improves strength and resilience growth, but reduces agility, wisdom, and luck growth.

The hero cannot become an ironclad at the start of the game.

Other party members have a chance to be an ironclad when talent scouted at Patty's Party Planning Place, depending on their stat bonuses.

An existing character cannot become an ironclad through items.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit | edit source]

The ironclad personality increases strength by 10%, increases resilience by 40%, decreases agility by 20%, increases stamina by 30%, has no influence on wisdom, and decreases luck by 20%.
