Amor seco essence is a healing item in the series. It serves as an improvement over a medicinal herb, restoring around 60 to 70 HP to a single party member. Although the water originates from the pure waterfall from the town of Amor in Dragon Quest VI, it has kept the same name in various games.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit | edit source]
Amor seco essence can be purchased for 120 gold coins and sold for 90 gold. Amor's item shop is the only place to buy it regularly. 3 of them can also be purchased with a Chimaera wing for 400 gold at Haggleton during its second and final bazaar.
It can also be found in Amor by searching some barrels and pots, as well as a treasure chest in Murdaw's Keep. Some monsters will drop it after battle, including:

Amor seco essence can be purchased from Pickham, Baccarat, the Desert Chapel, Orkutsk, and Tryan Gully for 120 gold coins and sold for 60 gold coins. Vials of amor seco essence can be found in Pickham, Baccarat, Arcadia, and Orkutsk. In the Nintendo 3DS version, amor seco essence can be found randomly in blue treasure chests in the Farebury Region and Alexandria Region. It can be dropped by Slimes, Firespirits, Healslimes, Frogfaces, King cureslimes, Phantom swordsmen, Cyclopses, Gigantes, and See angels. Amor seco essence can be made in the Alchemy Pot and is used in various alchemy recipes as well.
Bobongas can drink Amor Seco essence from their own jars to heal themselves.
Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
Amor seco essence restores around 60 to 70 HP to a single party member. It can be purchased from item shops for 60 gold, made through Alchemy, or picked up from sparkly spots. Vials of amor seco essence can also be dropped by certain monsters such as Rockin' rockhoppers, Caped caperers, and Invisible swordsmen.
Dragon Quest Monsters[edit | edit source]
Known as LoveWater in this game, it will restore around 60 to 70 HP to a single monster. It can be picked up from the ground regularly in many Teleportals. It can also be purchased from various shops for 80 gold, and can be sold for 60 gold.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2[edit | edit source]
LoveWater still restores around 60 to 70 HP to a single monster. It can be purchased from various shops, now only costing 50 gold each.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit | edit source]
Amor seco essence restores around 50 to 60 HP to all monsters, much like in the Joker subseries. It can be purchased from various item shops for 700 gold, found in treasure chests, or dropped by certain monsters, including Cococoa blobelisks, Cureslimes, Mimics, Spinchillas, and Sugarstar slimes.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2[edit | edit source]
Amor seco essence now restores around 40 HP to all monsters. It can be dropped by Mottle slimes. The essence cannot be purchased anywhere until the Professional version of the game, but can be sold for 100 gold.
Dragon Quest of the Stars[edit | edit source]
Amor seco essence is a 2★ healing item that restores around 70 HP to a single party member.
Dragon Quest Treasures[edit | edit source]
Amor seco essence is Treasure No. 295 in the Items category and can be found in the Hinterquarters. Its base value is 24,000 gold.
