The moon axe is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise.

The moon axe has an Attack bonus of +60. It can be sold for 11,000 gold coins for the first five units, 7,700 for the sixth through tenth units, and 3,300 onwards due to the game keeping track of how many are sold by players.

The moon axe has an Attack bonus of +45. It can be bought for 5,800 gold coins and sold for 2,900 gold coins. Yangus can equip it. It is described as "Show foes your dark side with this lunar cleaver."
