Trivia[edit | edit source]
- A yabby is a species of freshwater crayfish that is native to eastern Australia. The word comes from the term for freshwater crayfish that is used in several Aboriginal Australian languages.
- Yabby shares a name Ebira (エビラ, Ebira?) in Japanese with the kaiju monster Ebirah, a giant crustacean monster which is featured in the 1966 film Ebirah, Horror of the Deep. It was released in the United States in 1968 under the name Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster. The word ebi (エビ, ebi?) is used for any long-tailed crustacean or arthropod such as crayfishes, lobsters, shrimps, or prawn.
