Bat out of Hell (でんこうせっか, Denkō-sekka?, lit. Lightning speed), also known as Quick in the GBC version of Dragon Quest III is a personality in the Dragon Quest III remakes, in Dragon Quest X, and in Dragon Quest: Monster Parade.

In the Dragon Quest III remakes, Bat out of Hell is a personality that improves Agility growth.
The Hero cannot become a Bat out of Hell at the start of the game.
Other party members have a chance to be a Bat out of Hell when talent scouted at Patty's Party Planning Place, except Mage or Priest, depending on their stat bonuses.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit | edit source]
The Bat out of Hell personality decreases Resilience by 10% and increases Agility by 40%, with no other attributes being influenced. A character of any vocation can become a bat out of hell by equipping a Mercury's bandana in the primary accessory slot. It is possible to create a character from Patty's Party Planning Place that starts as a bat out of hell. However, even by replicating the same method of distributing seeds, it is still possible to end up with a different personality.
