The Royal mage's robe top has a Defence bonus of +35, a Style bonus of +18, a Magical Might bonus of +38, and a Weight bonus of +2. The robe has an equipment level of 60 and can be equipped by a Mage, Armamentalist, Sage, Fortune Teller, Druid, Death Master, or Dragomancer. It can be crafted with sewing and the entire set consists of the top and bottom, the royal mage's cap, and the royal mage's shoes. If all four pieces are equipped, the wearer gains a +10 bonus to max MP and Magical Might, a +35 bonus to Style, and has a 8% chance of increasing the wearer's Magical Might by one stage at the start of battle.

Dragon Quest Walk[edit | edit source]
The Royal mage's robe top is 5★ upper body armour that can be acquired randomly from any equipment banner. It gives a boost to the wearer's Magical Might and Magical Mending, as well as increasing resistance to sleep by 5%.
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow[edit | edit source]
The Royal Mage's Robe (Top) is 2★ upper body armour with a Defence bonus of +10 and a Magical Defence bonus of +13 at level 1. Its starting Boons are Magical Damage +5% and Lightning Resistance +5%. The robe can be acquired randomly from any transmuter.
