The Scourge whip is a whip in the series.

A magenta-coloured whip with a purple handle and a long, barbed lash ending in a sharp, arrowhead-shaped tip. It boasts a high attack power and typically does not have any secondary effects. A scourge is a type of whip or lash from historical times that was often made from leather and had multiple tails.

The Scourge whip has an Attack bonus of +99 and can be equipped by Jessica, as well as Red in the Nintendo 3DS version. It can only be made in the Alchemy Pot and can also be reverted back into the Demon whip with the use of a Devil's tail. The whip can be sold for 9,250 gold.

The Scourge whip has an Attack bonus of +38, a Style bonus of +8, increases the wielder's Weight by 8, and increases damage dealt in the Colosseum by 15%. It has an equipment level of 42 and can be equipped by a Mage, Thief, Luminary, Monster Wrangler, or Fortune Teller. The whip can be crafted by a weapon blacksmith.

Dragon Quest X Offline[edit | edit source]
The Scourge whip has an Attack bonus of +38 and a Charm bonus of +8. It can be equipped by the Hero as a Mage, Thief, or Luminary, and Duston. The whip can be crafted with the Fun-Size Forge.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker[edit | edit source]
The Scourge whip has an Attack bonus of +50 and, like all whips, targets all enemies when attacking. It is received as a reward for solving the fifth problem of the Advanced Monster Scout Proficiency Test on Infant Isle. It can be sold for 4,600 gold, but it is not recommended to do so due to its rarity.
