Mad mollusk

The Mad mollusk is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VI. It is a lethargic slug monster with a sea anemone-like tail.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Similar to ghastropods, Mad mollusks are slug monsters with lighter gooey tan hue, pink stripes on their back, and a peculiar structure on their tail similar to a sea anemone. They are capable of sending enemies to sleep with their Sweet Breath. The mollusks are often found dozing deeply in the dark themselves, sleeping away the beginning of battles. Although the slugs have yet to reappear in the main series, they have made regular appearances in the Dragon Quest Monsters series of games.
