In the Dragon Quest III remakes, genius is a personality that improves agility and wisdom growth, but reduces resilience and luck growth.
The hero cannot become a genius at the start of the game.
Other party members have a chance to be a genius when talent scouted at Patty's Party Planning Place, except warriors or martial artists, depending on their stat bonuses.
An existing character becomes a genius permanently by reading a copy of The Eureka Moment book.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit | edit source]
The Genius personality has no influence on strength, decreases Resilience by 10%, increases Agility by 20%, decreases Stamina by 20%, increases Wisdom by 40%, and decreases Luck by 20%. Any character can become a genius by reading a copy of The Eureka Moment book. Even by replicating the same method of distributing seeds, it is still possible to end up with a different personality.
