The '''Bone Baron''' is an intermediate monster vocation in ''[[Dragon Quest VII]]''.

==Description==
The [[Bone baron]] is an undead jouster on horseback with a knowledge of both ice and death magic. This vocation offers slight boosts in magic categories and moderate drops in others.

Characters who master the vocation will gain an immunity to instant death, Snooze, Dazzle, and a strong resistance to Fuddle, Fizzle, poison, paralysis, Crack, and ice breath. Mastering the vocation is necessary to becoming a [[Black bishop (vocation)|Black bishop]].

==Requirements==
To become a Baron, a character must first master the [[Walking corpse (Vocation)|Walking corpse]], [[Healslime (Vocation)|Healslime]], and [[Goodybag (Vocation)|Goodybag]] vocations. Bone barons have a small chance to drop their hearts and can be faced in the [[Vogograd]] region after the [[Orgodemir|Demon King]]'s resurrection or the [[Ventus Tower]]. In the Nintendo 3DS version, it is also possible to acquire a Bone baron heart by creating a custom [[Traveller's Tablet]] with a Bone baron as the boss.
