The '''diemon''' is a recurring monster in the {{DQSeries}}, first appearing in {{Dragon Quest VIII}}. It is a great hulking beast wearing a silly mask over its eyes that attacks with blades of wind.

==Characteristics==
Diemons are blue-skinned [[Beast family|beast]]s with an appearance similar to that of a gorilla with a pair of pink wings on its back, spikes on top of its head, and a silly green and pink mask that it uses to obscure its numerous eyes. Despite their names and appearance, they are not actually demons. The diemons are able to cast simple ice magic, but their most noteworthy ability is to roll their eyes in battle, sending out sharp blades of wind that increase in intensity depending on how many eyes it lands on. This can be a dangerous technique to novice adventurers.
