'''Erdrick's armour''' is a legendary suit of armour in the series that once belonged to the Hero [[Erdrick]].

==Characteristics==
Erdrick's armour is a legendary suit of heavy plate armour forged from [[Zenithium]] with gold details and a flowing, red cape attached to the shoulders, and is essentially the successor to the [[Auroral Armour|Auroral armour]]. The front of the breastplate features the familiar golden [[Mark of Erdrick]]. In early illustrations, it is a full suit of armour that is worn a helmet, gauntlets, faulds, and sabatons, some of which became separate pieces of armour in later games. It is the strongest armour in earlier games and usually reserved only for the main Hero, bestowing a variety of beneficial effects such as resistance against spells and breath attacks and immunity to damaging floor. From ''Dragon Quest IX'' onward, its usage is no longer restricted, especially in games where the player is able to make their own character.
