==Characteristics==
The gooey gear is a set of clothing similar to a mascot's costume that makes the wearer look like the lower and middle slimes of a [[Slime stack]]. The look is completed by wearing a [[Slood]]. It is part of a series of equipment modeled after the [[Slime family]]. In the original Japanese, the gooey gear and the [[Slime gooniform]] are one and the same, with the former having a completely different appearance in ''Dragon Quest IX''.
