In the ''Dragon Quest III'' remakes, Lazybones is a personality that improves [[Strength]], [[Resilience]], and [[Luck]] growth, but reduces [[Agility]] and [[Wisdom]] growth.

At the start of the game, the {{Hero 3}} becomes a lazybones by receiving the final test of character in the forest. Before leaving the test, the hero must push no more than one boulder to the old man, or avoid the task altogether.

Other party members of any vocation have a chance to be a lazybones when recruited at [[Patty's Party Planning Place]], depending on how many attribute-boosting seeds they have been given. There is no way to become a lazybones by reading a book or equipping an accessory.

The Lazybones personality increases Strength growth by 5%, decreases Resilience and Wisdom growth by 30%, decreases Agility growth by 40%, increases [[Stamina]] growth by 20%, and increases Luck growth by 10%.
