The '''legendary armour''' is a set of prestigious platemail that was introduced to the series as part of the [[:Category:Legendary Equipment|legendary equipment]] for the ninth game, before being reappearing in the eleventh. As such is it a suit of mythical mail that is not tied to a specific [[Hero|hero]] and can be equipped by several characters in the games it appears in instead of being reserved for the player's avatar as its past contemporaries were.
