''Dragon Quest'' is referenced many times throughout the series, often in a tongue-in-cheek fashion. In the first episode, the three main characters find a book titled "A Tale of Adventure" and an imagine spot is shown of three cosplaying as the main characters from {{Dragon Quest II}}.
