Mysterious Mist is an enemy-only skill that can be used by [[Night emperor|Night emperors]] and [[Demonspawn|Demonspawns]]. It prevents the entire party and all enemies from casting spells for the rest of the battle, much like [[Fizzle]]. Unlike the Fog of War skill that appeared in later games, it would not cancel out the effects of any buffs that were already used beforehand. In the original NES version, the in-game text would state that "Eerie mists stream out and engulf area" when the skill was used.
* In remake versions of the game, the effect can be disabled either by using [[Disruptive Wave]] or the [[Zenithian sword]] as a tool in battle.
