The '''Mythsteed''' is a recurring {{MFamilies}} in the {{DQSeries}}, first appearing in {{Dragon Quest VI}}.

Modeled after the [[Wikipedia:Unicorn|unicorn]] of European myths and legends, it is a horse with a golden coat and a red spiral horn on its head.

'''Mythsteeds''' are [[Beast family|equines]] with golden-hued fur, lavender manes, and ruby red hooves and horn, with a dark enough hue that'd be impossible to tell whether or not it's stained with battler's blood. They have no coloration at all to their eyes, giving them a sinister glare and a piercing stare, making it impossible to read when the steed is going to charge head first with it's sharp stabbing horn. The flighty majestic '''Mythsteeds''' can also fire off a flurry of frightening '''[[Wind Sickles]]''' that slice into all foes.
