Slarin is the first default name it can have and has been used in various adaptations, including the ''[[Dragon Quest V CD Theater]]'' and ''[[Dragon Quest: Your Story]]''. In English versions of the game, the name Gootrude has been used as its default name and in ''Your Story'', as well.
*[[Goober]]: In the Super Famicom version of {{DQ6}}, Slarin is the first default name of the recruitable Slime. However, starting with remake versions, Rookie became its default name in Japanese.
