In the ''Dragon Quest III'' remakes, slippery devil is a personality that improves agility and wisdom growth, but reduces strength and resilience growth.

At the start of the game, the Hero becomes a slippery devil by receiving the final test of character in the town. The hero must take the purse, then don't confess being a thief when confronted.

Other party members have a chance to be a slippery devil when talent scouted at [[Patty's Party Planning Place]] as any class, with the exception of martial artists, depending on their stat bonuses.

The slippery devil personality decreases Strength by 5%, increases Resilience by 10%, increases Agility by 10%, decreases Stamina by 10%, increases Wisdom by 20%, and has no influence on Luck. A character of any vocation can become a slippery devil by reading the [[Would I Lie to You?]] book. It is possible to create a character from [[Patty's Party Planning Place]] that starts as a slippery devil. However, even by replicating the same method of distributing seeds, it is still possible to end up with a different personality.
