Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it is a monster with the head and feet of a wingless bird. ==Characteristics== Weaken beakons are large flightless birds, having the appearance of a long pair of legs growing from their heads. They have purple or pinkish plumage with red skin around their faces and large, sharp beaks that they use to tear apart prey. Like their weaker kin, these beakons have the ability to act twice per turn and are even able to cast magic to soften the defences of their opponents. According to their monster info in X, weaken beakons are the natural enemy of treefaces as they use their large beaks to dig burrows into the trunks of large trees. ==Appearances== ===DQ3=== Clear ===DQ3HD=== {{DQ3HD2DEnemy |name=Weaken beakon |kanji=デッドペッカー |romanji=Deddopekkā |bestiaryNumber=#084 |family=Beast |description=Brainy birds that cast Kasap to dwindle the defences of their adversaries before they attack.
