==Characteristics==
The flython and their cousins are hybrids of three genus of real world snakes; they combine the size of ''Pythonidae'', the head shape and fangs of ''Viperidae'', and the hoods of ''Elapidae'' (cobras). The flython uses its sail-like gills to set glide on air currents on moonlit nights. Starting with the ''Monsters'' series of games, the flython was made part of the [[Dragon family]] and it gained the ability to breathe out poisonous gas at its opponents.
