==Characteristics==
These [[Material family|golems]] are known for their gleaming golden bodies. Like the other golems, they have a pair of glowing yellow eyes poking out of the darkness from their heads. They are one of go-to monsters for adventurers who want to amass piles of gold quickly and tend to be weaker than their clay or stone counterparts. This is appropriate, as gold is one of the softest metals. In later games, the gold golems gained the ability to preserve their strength and even land desperate attacks on their opponents. They also have a tendency to drop golden jewelry or pieces of gold that can be used for [[Alchemy]] and item crafting.
