A simple wrap made of tanned beast hides that covers the wearer's lower body down to their knees, held on the waist with a black leather belt. It tends to be suited for characters with rugged sides and monster companions, in some games being exclusive for male characters. [[Pankraz]] from ''Dragon Quest V'' is seen wearing one in official art, although his is made from blue hides rather than the typical brown leather. In ''Dragon Quest IX'', the leather kilt is counted as a piece of legwear rather than body armour.
