In the ''Dragon Quest III'' remakes, lone wolf is a personality that improves agilty, resilience and wisdom growth, but reduces luck growth.

At the start of the game, the Hero becomes a lone wolf by receiving the final test of character in the theater. The hero must answer no to the guy asking about marrying the dancer.

Other party members have a chance to be a lone wolf when talent scouted at [[Patty's Party Planning Place]] as any class with the exception of priests and mages, depending on their stat bonuses.

The long wolf personality increases strength by 5%, increases resilience by 20%, increases agility by 10%, increases stamina by 20%, increases wisdom by 10%, and decreases luck by 30%. Equipping the [[skull ring]] will turn any character into a lone wolf.
