==Characteristics==
The Thunderbird is the electric counterpart to the [[Firebird]] and [[Snowbird]], and as such it naturally produces high voltage. The species distinct from the aforementioned birds in that it's body is serpentine with smooth scales and only its head being feathered--interestingly, the {{MFamilies}} is wearing an entire [[Cumaulus]] around it's waist. While a humorous gag at first glance, this peculiar communalism alludes to the creature's life spent in the high atmosphere.

When the first {{Monsters S}} title was remade for the [[Nintendo 3DS]], the Thunderbird was given a redesign based on the polygon model of the [[Snowbird]] to reduce development costs. This form has dark teal feathers with lightning stripes for accents.
