Moonwort bulb can be purchased from various [[item shop]]s and roving emporiums throughout the world during the first act for 30 gold each, starting from [[Hotto]] to [[Lonalulu]], and sold for 15 gold. Afterwards, shops will begin stocking [[softwort]] instead. Some bulbs can be found in barrels at [[Heliodor]] and [[Gondolia]]. It can be collected from a sparkly spot in the [[Laguna di Gondolia]]. Moonwort bulbs can be dropped by [[cruelcumber|Cruelcumbers]], [[Lips]], and [[Man o' war |Man o' wars]].

Moonwort bulbs can be used in a single [[List of fun-size forge recipes in Dragon Quest XI|recipe]] for the [[Fun-Size Forge]]:
