==Appearances== ==={{DQ11}}=== After the fall of [[Yggdrasil]] at the end of the first act, the Luminary awakens in the depths of [[Nautica]] in the form of a fish. He is told by Queen Marina that this was done to trick the forces of evil into believing him dead and allow for an unexpected counterattack, but the mermaid city has come under attack from Alizarin and his forces. The Queen whisks the Luminary away as the monster breaks through the barrier and raids the city. Alizarin is first fought later on when the Luminary and his companions disembark from [[Puerto Valor]], nearly capsizing their boat and gloating over their attacks and spells failing to harm him thanks to the red aura that protects him. The final encounter takes place as the party sails to [[Sniflheim]], during which the Luminary's restored powers destroy his barrier with a lightning bolt and renders him vulnerable.
