By interacting with a chocobo, the player will be able to ride one on the world map and it will retreat to the forest after it is dismounted. In ''[[Wikipedia:Final Fantasy V|Final Fantasy V]]'', a chocobo named '''Boko''' is the companion of the main character Bartz Klauser. Chocobos named Boko, or Boco, have gone on to make regular appearances in other games in the series.

Chocobo appears as an A-rank monster of the [[??? family]] during the second part of the limited ''War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius'' event. She will join the party in Chapter 3, Episode 1 of the event quests and she can be fully awakened by receiving Chocobo Crystals from the Chocobo Wakes Up stage of Run Chocobo! at any difficulty. The chocobo also stars in her own Battle Road.
