Eliza has lived in the hidden village since childhood, becoming fast friends with the protagonist at an early age. Like everyone else in the village, Eliza is committed to hiding and protecting the {{Hero 4}} from the forces of monsterkind until he or she fully develops into the chosen savior. When the agents of [[Psaro the Manslayer]] raze the town, the {{Hero 4}}'s father hides him/her in the storehouse, and she follows them in. As the {{MFamilies}}s draw near, Eliza states that she can't allow the {{Hero 4}} to die, and, taking on their form, rushes the attackers and sacrifices her life for friend.

Eliza's dialogue just prior to the attack suggests she harbors strong feelings towards the {{Hero 4}}, as she states she wishes she could stay with him forever. This dialogue is mostly the same if the protagonist is female, but adding that she considers the {{Hero 4}}ine to be like a sister to her.

During the ending cinematic, the protagonist returns to the hidden village and gazes forlornly upon the ruined town. When a heavenly light descends from above, the charred village is restored and Eliza is brought back to life. The two join in a silent embrace before they are greeted by the rest of the [[Chosen Ones]].

The {{Luminary}} finds Eliza in a sticky situation when visiting the Hidden Valley--she's gotten herself trapped in the form of a [[Slime]], and the villagers have taken none too kindly to this sudden visitor. A [[Supreme sage's staff]] is required to set her shape-shifting straight. This event takes place some time before the events of {{IV}}, as the girl is still trying to get the hang of casting [[Morph]].
