Hym is one of the five chess pieces given life and soul by Hadlar, and the one who inherited Hadlar's passion. He feels deep admiration for his master, and would do anything to protect the former dark commander.

Hym is a master of close-range combat, using his own martial arts techniques. The pawn can use [[Frizz]] type spells, however he does not cast them to attack, but to boost his own fists with the powerful [[Heat Knuckle]]. 

Due to his body being made from orichalcum, he is extremely durable and immune to most spells. Only [[Frizz Cracker|Medroa]] and aura skills such as [[Pearly Gates|Grand Cross]] can hurt him.

Being a pawn grants him the potential of promotion, which he uses unknowingly after his master's demise to gain a new form, with an appearance much closer to Hadlar's. In this new form Hym has long, silver hair like his master, and can imbue his fists with aura, making them much more powerful than before.

He has a strong rivalry with [[Hyunckel]] since the moment their paths cross, but they later becomes friends.
