[[Image:DQ9 IronOre.png|left|48px]]Iron ore can be collected on [[Newid Isle]], in [[Coffinwell (region)|Western Coffinwell]], and near the [[Lonely Coast]], as well as having a 10% of being found in [[List_of_treasure_map_treasure_chest_ranks_in_Dragon_Quest_IX#Rank_3/G|Rank 3]] treasure chests. It can also be dropped by [[Bad karmour]]s, [[Corrupt carter]]s, [[Hunter mech]]s, and [[Robo-robin]]s. The ore can be sold for 120 gold and is used extensively in different alchemy recipes:
