==Appearances== ===DQDai=== Lon Beruk was once one of the greatest swordsmen in the Underworld, as well as a master craftsman that forged several powerful weapons such as the Dark Armour Blade and the Dark Armour Spear. Decades ago, he left the Underworld and began living in the surface world, eventually becoming friends with Jank, Popp's father and a fellow blacksmith. Lon runs a small shop on the outskirts of the village of Lankirks, where he crafts fine weapons in order to make a living and he is rarely seen without an alcoholic beverage near him. He has grown disillusioned over the years since he believes that there are no warriors worthy of wielding his works. When Dai and his group begin looking for a legendary sword, Jank says his friend Lon might have something in his shop. The disgruntled blacksmith initially gives them the cold shoulder, stating that forging the world's strongest sword is nothing more than a "fool's errand". Lon Beruk is only interested in creating powerful weapons to witness how they perform on the battlefield, but believes that lately there is no one worthy of wielding them. He quickly has a change of heart and is impressed after learning that Dai managed to shatter the Demon Dragon Blade with a sword of his own creation. According to Lon, he has spent over a century trying to forge a blade worthy of rivaling the Demon Dragon Blade as it was forged by the gods themselves. He offers to craft the world's greatest sword for Dai, but only if they can get their hands on orichalcum, which is the same material used to forge the Demon Dragon Blade. Lon begins working on the sword after melting down the Crown of Champions, which was also crafted from orichalcum and given as a gift to Dai from the King of Romos. He eventually finishes forging the blade after working like a madman and getting assistance from Jank. Initially, Dai is unable to draw the newly-forged sword from its scabbard, prompting Lon Beruk to state that the sword is a living being capable of choosing when and where to fight. Whenever Dai is in battle and requires great power, the spirit residing within the sword will answer his call and be unsheathed. Later on, when Mystvearn and his Shadow Legion attempt to thwart the Disciples of Avan, but he is stopped by Lon Beruk who easily cancels out Mystvearn's Dark Aura Decimation Field with one of his swords. As the two begin to duel, they reminisce on a memory from nearly a century ago, when Lon Beruk was in the service of the Dark King Vearn. At the Seventh Palace of the Underworld, the Dark King is holding a feast for the master craftsman when he announces that he'll be leaving. Vearn says that if he had his way, Lon Beruk would stay and serve the Dark King permanently, after having forged the Staff of Edacity. But since Lon seeks to create the ultimate weapon, he no longer sees a point in continuing to serve the Dark King. Vearn then reveals that he knows the true extent of Lon's swordfighting ability, since only a master swordsman would have the skill necessary to craft such powerful weapons. He then offers Lon a commanding position in his army as he wishes to extinguish the everlasting darkness in the Underworld. Lon then calmly declines and walks away from the Dark King's offer. Just as Lon is about to leave the palace, Mystvearn steps out of the shadows and slashes at the blacksmith's face with his arm blades, leaving an X-shaped scar. The commander is shocked that he wouldn't even dodge the attack, but Lon accepts it as punishment for insulting the Dark King's generosity. Lon then retorts that the next time Mystvearn strikes him, he won't hold back.
