Moogles made their first appearance in the 1990 game ''[[Wikipedia:Final Fantasy III|Final Fantasy III]]'' on the Famicom as the bodyguards on the sage Doga. In ''[[Wikipedia:Final Fantasy V|Final Fantasy V]]'', there is a Moogle Village in Galuf's world that the party can visit after rescuing a stray moogle. The character Krile has a pet moogle, which has the distinction of being the only moogle in that game that can speak human language. The party can also dress up like moogles by acquiring a costume in the Moogle Village. Moogles also play a prominent role in ''[[Wikipedia:Final Fantasy VI|Final Fantasy VI]]'' with the character Mog being the first playable moogle in the series history. There is also a sequence where ten moogles become guest party members in order to help Locke rescue Terra in the Narshe Mines.

By completing the quest "I Love Flowers, Kupo!", Kuplo Kopo will reward the player with Cactuar Coins that they can spend on various rewards.

Moogle appears as an A-rank monster of the [[??? family]] as part of the limited ''War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius'' event. It will join the party in Chapter 2, Episode 3 of the event quests and it can be fully awakened by collecting Moogle Crystals from the Mog Awakening Items Kupo stage of Mog Shop's Open Kupo! at any difficulty. The moogle appears as an auto guest in certain event quests and it can participate in [[Mont Leonis]]'s Battle Road as a party member.
