===DQ3=== The Pyramid is the most creative dungeon in Dragon Quest III as it is filled with traps, puzzles, and special limitations. It also has a completely unique soundtrack, though the remakes of the game would incorporate it in both Asham's night theme and the a floor of the Cloudsgate Citadel 3 which uses 2F of the Pyramid. ====Sealed magic==== Spells are nullified in the basement of the Pyramid, making the room a harsh punishment for those who fall through the pitfalls on the first floor. This includes spells cast in battle as well as from the map screen, as well as those cast by MFamiliess. Because the A.I introduced in the Cell phone version does not recognize the programming tag in the area, Party 3 members will attempt to cast spells until their tactics are changed or the player takes manual control. ====Third floor puzzle==== The button puzzle within the Pyramid must be completed in order to retrieve the magic key. A hint on how to solve it is sung by the children in the throne room of Isis castle. The buttons must be pressed in the correct order to receive the key. ====Golden Claws==== The golden claws weapon is hidden in a tomb in B2F of the Pyramid. B2F is only accessible via a hidden staircase which can be found by searching a specific tile in B1F. After collecting the claws, the Party 3 will encounter a battle at every step until they exit the Pyramid. This makes it the most complex weapon to acquire in the game. Although it is accessible when the party first visits the Pyramid, it is unlikely that the Party 3 have the strength to retrieve it and escape without dying until later in the game. The reward is worth the trial by fire, however, as the golden claws provide a substantial attack boost over the iron claws and knuckledusters. ====Treasures==== *7 empty chests (NES version) *4 empty chests (remakes) *816 gold coins (NES version) *648 gold coins (remakes) *Chimaera wing *Garish garb (remakes) *Magical skirt (remakes) *Medicinal herb *Mini medal x3 *Morning star (remakes) *Ruby wristband (remakes) *Seed of agility *Seed of resilience *Seed of strength *Seed of wisdom *Ten ton toupee (remakes) ====Monsters==== *Bag o' laughs *Cannibox (2) *Grillerpillar *Mummy *Mummy boy *Overtoad *Shade *Walking corpse (Called by Mummy) ====Usage of the Pyramid in another area==== *2F is used as 4F of the Cloudsgate Citadel 3.
