The {{MFamilies}} is revealed to be [[Amos]], the town {{Hero 6}} who developed this peculiar condition after being bitten on the backside by a {{MFamilies}} when saving a lost child. The townsfolk are aware that the terror is indeed "their [[Amos]]", and forbid the player from revealing the truth to the man: if he learns of nightly transformations, [[Amos]] will leave [[Scrimsley]] and cannot be recruited into the {{Party 6}}.

Instead, it is suggested that the player retrieve the [[Seeds of reason]] in [[Hazy Heights]] in the hopes that they will cure [[Amos]]. When administered to the man, he transforms immediately--however, he now has full control of himself and can change at will via the [[Megamorphosis]] skill. Thankful to the {{Hero 6}} for curing him (more or less), [[Amos]] offers to join the group on their adventure.
