The smart suit was added in the 1996 remake and it has a defence bonus of +42. It can only be equipped by male [[Thief|Thieves]] and [[Gadabout]]s, making it a male counterpart to the [[party dress]]. It can be found in [[Edina]]. The smart suit can be sold for 9,900 gold, but it is not recommended to do so since only one exists in the game.

It can be purchased for 13,200 gold at the Premium Bazaar version of the Immigrant Town and sold for 6,600 gold. Smart suits can also be purchased as prizes at the Grand Slum casino for 2,000 tokens. One can be found in [[Den of the Dwarves]] in the present.
