The Nintendo Wii game console supports a wireless connectivity with the Nintendo DS so linking with the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS can be done without any additional accessories. The player can use the Nintendo DS microphone and touchscreen as inputs for Wii games during the connectivity. The first game utilizing Nintendo DS-Wii connectivity is ''[[Pokémon]] Battle Revolution'', as example: players with the ''Pokémon Diamond'' Version or ''Pokémon Pearl'' Version are able to play battles with only using their Nintendo DS as their main controller. Nintendo later released the Nintendo Channel which allowed the owners of the Nintendo Wii to download game demos or additional data to their Nintendo DS in a process similar to that of a DS Download Station. The console is also able to expand Nintendo DS games.
