Editing Dragon Quest (section)

===Famicom/NES versions===
When the game was first released in North America, several changes were made into the game:
* The title was changed from ''Dragon Quest'' to ''Dragon Warrior''. The logo was also changed to accomodate for the name change. ''(See [[Dragon Quest localization history]])''
* The Hero and several other NPCs received more sprites. This way, the Hero would actually have his sprite face the direction he's walking to, and there was no need for a secondary menu to select which direction you want to interact with.
* The password system ([[Spell of Restoration]]) of the original Japanese version was replaced by a proper save system.
