Similar to ''Dragon Quest IV'', the vials will restore 10~15 in the original and 40~50 in the [[Nintendo 3DS]] remake. Once again, they can be purchased as a [[Casino]] prize at [[Pilgrim's Rest]] for 200 [[token]]s each. It can also be won as a prize from the Lucky Panel starting from the [[Casino]] at [[Pilgrim's Rest]] in the present. In the original [[Sony PlayStation]] version, Magic water can be purchased from the Cathedral evolution of [[The Haven|Immigrant Town]] for 200 {{Gold}} and sold for 100. They can also be dropped by [[Clawcerer|Clawcerers]]s, [[Shaman|Shamans]], [[Conkjurer|Conkjurers]], and [[Dirty dogu|Dirty dogus]]. In the Nintendo 3DS version, magic water can be found regularly in [[treasure chest]]s and dropped by bosses in [[Traveller's Tablet]]s.
