The tunnel is now home to a scant few treasures and there is a [[List of recruitable monsters in Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake|disguised crone ranger]] creeping on the workers, but the dungeon's features remains the same otherwise.

The real point of interest it that the lost [[Robbin' 'Oodlum|henchmen]] of [[Robbin' 'Ood]] have taken up work in the tunnel after falling into the underworld. One of them will tip the player off to the whereabouts of the fabled [[zenithium]] metal, which can upgrade [[Ortega's Helm]] into the [[Auroral Helm]]; if the player follows the goon's clues, the metal will be found in the depths of [[Gaia's Navel]] and require a [[wrecking ball]] to dislodged.
