==Etymology==
Aeon is a Greek word that indicates an existence or a long period of time. In Gnosticism, [[Wikipedia:Aeon (Gnosticism)|Aeons]] were the emanations of God. In the original Japanese and the French version of the game, the aeon's bow is named after the [[Wikipedia:cherub|cherubim]], the second highest order of angels in the Bible, ranked above thrones and below seraphim.
