'''Baran''' is a playable character in {{AHB}} and a major character in the {{DQDai}} manga and anime series.

As in the original story, Baran is faced as a boss as either the Dragon Master General or his Dragonoid form in the ''Dragon Tracks'' storyline. In both of his forms, he is a [[Warrior]] who could equip swords, large shields, and heavy armour.

==Dragon Master General==
Baran became available after finishing ''Episode 8 - A Team Effort'' from the '''The Knight and the Hero''' event on December 20th, 2021 or by exchanging Seer Candles at [[Merle]]'s Mystic Fortunes after the event ended. His Ally Board is a stylised dragon's head much like the cover he wears over his left eye.

Baran was a Warrior who specialised in dealing Thunder-elemental physical attacks. He had the ability to use some of his iconic attacks, such as [[Gigabreak]] and his [[Crest Beam]].

While his character acquisition event lasted, having him as the Luminary Leader's partner would grant additional tokens and upgrade orbs for this style.

==Dragonoid==
Dragonoid Baran appeared as a story boss many months before he became playable in the '''Human and Dragonoid Hearts''' event on October 26th, 2022. After the event's end, he could be recruited from Merle's Mystic Fortunes by exchanging Seer Candles. His Ally Board was in the shape of his Dragon Crest. Although he could equip swords, Baran would use hand-to-hand attacks in battle.

Dragonoid Baran was the strongest physical Shadow attacker in the game. He had the ability to use the powerful and destructive [[Doruora]]. He received double experience while his event lasted. During that time period, having him as the Luminary Leader's partner would grant additional tokens and upgrade orbs for this variation.
